#QuakerEd - Share and Share and Like

Apples Not Falling Far

Jonathan Clifton, the Bridge Film Festival school liaison and film advisor for Frankford Friends School announced that his son Dan has produced a feature film, "The Choice"
The film will be released this coming February 2016. The story is a romantic drama about choices people make.

Since 2010, Jonathan has been encouraging his students to make films dealing with issues of conscience, consequence and the choices we all have to make.  Here is a link to Frankford Friends award winning film, "Every Little Drop Counts."

Keeping Up with Matt

Matthew Gentile, Brooklyn Friends School '08 announced his selection to the Kyoto Filmmakers Lab in Japan, where he will direct a short film at Toei Studios Kyoto from this month. Matt said, "Since Ran and Seven Samurai are the movies that made me want to be a filmmaker and my all time hero is Akira Kurosawa, I could not be more excited about walking the same sets that he did."

Recently Matt completed his American Film Institute thesis film Frontman which is making the rounds on the international film festival circuit. Announcing two new official film festival selections: Montemario Film Festival and Spring Creek Festival, Matt said, "By the end of November, our film will have played in six countries."

"There is Nothing Like a Friends School Education"

Although it is not specifically stated in the mission of the BFF, most certainly one our goals
Andy Cohen
is to support Friends education through the promotion of it, via social media.

#QuakerEd

It is the festival's practice to, like and share and like posts, tweets and videos that best exemplify our shared values.  Although many of the posts are about unique program offered at individual schools, I believe it is beneficial to our collective institutional health to recognize achievement and share the message that there is nothing like a friends school education!

Below are some videos from our schools.  Please contact the BFF if you would like to contribute posts or information to this blog.
